Sexually transmitted diseases can produce many annoying symptoms and co-morbidity by unhealthy sexual behaviors. They show features of skin lesions, immune functionality reduction, warts and itching in genital organs and many other human organs, even human mortalities. However, prevention and treatment to many sexually transmitted diseases have many deficits and therapeutic limitation. Breakthroughs should be sought for prevention and treatments against sexually transmitted diseases. Several approaches have been made to disease prevention and treatments. Effective vaccines are possible solution for preventing and treating sexually transmitted diseases. However, few successful model and product is coming into the markets and hospitals. Many obstacles need to be overcome. It has some applications and failure in these attempts, like HPV (human papillomavirus) and HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) virus vaccines [1-4]. New attempts and more work are needed for futuristic vaccine development. We present them in following approaches;
Hotspots for vaccine development
- Produce new vaccine technology that can overcome diversity of viral components, like mRNA techniques and others [5-6]
- Fixing vaccine injection sites for different viruses and vaccines
- Determining of vaccine doses or schedules that can enhance vaccine efficacy in the clinic
In the future, high-effective vaccines may come from those that can target diverse viral components and high efficiency for viral infection [7]. Only by targeting multiple components of viruses, high efficiency can be expected Lactobacillus species.
