Abstract

The lower urinary tract symptom with supposed prostatitis (pelvic pain syndrome) is a common disorder that also is more common in young males. In this malaise besides symptom and signs, the physical exam and the Para clinic evaluation including EPS aliquot is important for diagnosis. We studied EPS aliquot in 60 patients with LUTS symptoms.

Methods: 60 patients with the lower urinary tract symptom with the ages, 25 –40 years were evaluated by a digital rectal exam, urine analysis and EPS (express prostate secretion) aliquot, US. During the digital rectal exam, the EPS samples were taken and evaluated directly with microscopic for white blood cells

Results:  The rectal exam disclosed some pains during palpable of the prostate, the white blood cells in the EPS aliquots in a direct exam by microscopic were between 0-3 in high power field, the ultrasound examinations of the prostate were revealed calcification in one-third of patients.

Conclusions: The result of this investigation is a dis controversy to other studies, the definition of prostatitis microscopically is described as to be   a more than 10 white blood cell in high power field in   EPS aliquot, according to our finding a revision is necessary for a diagnosis definition of prostatitis microscopically in the EPS aliquot.
