The present study reflects the importance and role played by the human resource department in the establishments and to determine ways in which the significance of this department can be established. The research topic had addressed the specific factors of the HR department in the organizations of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) that support the value management and organizational development by analyzing the different organizational elements. Considering the importance of the human resource department, research questions have been formulated to address the different ways in which the HR department contributes to add overall organizational value and efficiency. The undertaken quantitative study using a survey method relies on the responses of 100 participants working at middle-level management positions in the oil and gas sector of UAE. Based on the secondary data, significant insights have been gained on the importance of the HR department in adding value to organizations. Statistical tools such as correlation and regression are employed to reach objective conclusions. The results have revealed that the human resource department has a key role to play in the management of the human capital that is the employees and other staff working in an organization. There are different areas such as talent management, cross-cultural communication, employee retention, knowledge management, work-place diversity management, where the human resource department has an imperative role to perform.
