Abstract

Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) has become increasingly popular for analysing data in the social sciences as it is known as the second generation method of Multivariate Data Analysis. This method is developed to cater the limitations in Ordinary Least Square (OLS) especially in dealing with latent constructs and a complex model. AMOS or the analysis of Moments Structures is the newest software developed for analyzing SEM. Hence, the purpose  is to guide researchers through the fundamentals of using AMOS for the typical data analysis process. The emphasis is on learning the basics of SEM, drawing diagrams in AMOS Graphics, performing confirmatory factor analysis and path analysis in AMOS, mediating and moderation analysis, evaluating model fit, and ways to improve model fit.
