Abstract

Graphene oxide has recently fascinatedly noticed because of its excellent mechanical constancy, chemically stability and tunable electrical properties. We coated monolayer of GO on half surface of monocrystalline and polycrystalline copper by dipped coat method. The coated Cu then thermally oxidized at 160°C temperature to identify oxides of copper (Cu2O and CuO). Surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy used to detect copper oxides on substrate. Moreover, their chemical and structural properties then studied by SEM and TEM. Finally, the corrosion behavior on coated samples measured by electrochemical corrosion techniques.
