The World Health Organization's 2002 appeal and the Strategic Plan for Traditional Medicine in the Western Pacific region emphasized the need for scientifically validating medicines and treatment methods used in medicine. Consequently, countries worldwide are rapidly increasing the tendency to introduce traditional drugs that have been used in traditional medicine for thousands of years, Mongolia has also rapidly increased the production and use of drugs in the last 30 years. It is necessary to scientifically prove the drugs and preparations widely used in traditional medicine and enter them into the Mongolian drug registry. Nowadays, the chemical research of natural compounds, the biological and pharmacological activities based on them, and the service mechanisms and technological explanations of herbal medicines and pharmaceutical preparations, which are intensively carried out in bioorganic chemistry, have attracted the interest of researchers. Therefore, the primary goals of scientists are to discover, quantify,isolate, and establish the structure of biologically active compounds in traditional medicines under study. Initial chemical research was conducted on Arur-10, widely used for kidney and urinary tract diseases, and Indra-4, used for treating intestinal inflammation in Mongolian Traditional medicine. The study used Arur-10 and Indra-4 traditional drugs with complex ingredients produced by the standards at the Traditional Medicine Factory of the Institute of Traditional Medicine and Technology of Mongolia for research. The main biologically active flavonoid (quercetin) and coumarin (umbelliferone) compounds were identified and quantified using high-sensitivity liquid chromatography. The quercetin content in the Arur-10 traditional drug was 2 mg/g, while umbelliferone was 41.6 mg/g. In Indra-4 traditional drug, the quercetin content was 67 mg/g, and umbelliferone was 29.1 mg/g. In this study, we establish a theoretical basis for the mechanisms of action of the traditional drugs Arur-10 and Indra-4 and further confirm and demonstrate evidence-based knowledge of Traditional medicine using modern scientific methods.
