Background: The interrelation of internal health and external beauty is a cornerstone of Ayurvedic philosophy. With the current global inclination towards natural and holistic treatments, there's an emerging interest in Ayurvedic nutritional guidelines in modern cosmetology. This systematic review seeks to evaluate the documented efficacy of these ancient dietary principles in promoting skin health. Methods: Comprehensive literature searches were executed across databases and classics. The review exclusively considered studies focused on Ayurvedic nutritional interventions for skin health, omitting those on topical applications.
Result: A majority of literature revealed enhanced skin hydration, elasticity, and radiance among when we adhering to dosha-specific diets. Ayurvedic superfoods, particularly Turmeric and Amla, emerged as pivotal in skincare, attributed to their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. The role of a robust digestive system, or Agni in Ayurveda, in skin health is also significant. Further, Ayurvedic detoxification practices, combined with appropriate nutrition, displayed notable improvements in skin clarity.
Discussion: The gathered information clearly shows that Ayurvedic eating habits, overall health, and skin health are all connected. The paper stresses on how important it is to take a whole-person approach that includes both physical and mental health. The results mostly support Ayurvedic ways of eating, but they also show that more standardized and varied study is needed in this area. Conclusion: This paper shows how Ayurvedic diet can complement modern cosmetology. Ayurvedic diets improve skin health, according to research. To create universal Ayurvedic dietary guidelines for cosmetology, larger, internationally representative investigations are necessary. Further information will be discussed in the seminar in detail.
