Abstract

Psychological pain refers to the subjective experience of distress, discomfort, or suffering that arises from internal psychological processes. It can manifest as feelings of hopelessness, helplessness, or worthlessness, and may be accompanied by physiological symptoms such as tension, fatigue, or changes in appetite and sleep patterns. Mindfulness.
based interventions have gained increasing attention in recent years as promising approaches for promoting emotional well-being and alleviating psychological pain. This comprehensive review examines the effectiveness of mindfulness-based interventions in reducing psychological pain and enhancing emotional well-being across diverse populations and settings.
This review explores the underlying mechanisms through which mindfulness practices, such as mindfulness meditation and mindful awareness of the present moment, contribute to reduced psychological distress and improved emotional resilience. The key findings suggest that mindfulness-based interventions are associated with significant reductions in symptoms of depression, anxiety, and stress, as well as improvements in overall psychological functioning.
The review examines the role of mindfulness in enhancing emotion regulation, cognitive flexibility, and self-compassion, which are essential components of emotional well-being.  Studies indicate that regular mindfulness practice fosters greater awareness of one's thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations, leading to more adaptive responses to challenging situations and increased psychological resilience.
