Galina Bogoslovskaya was born in Tomsk, Russia and she currently lives in Polokwane, South Africa. She received her Medical Doctor degree from Tomsk Medical University in 1978 (Tomsk, Russia). She was awarded PhD in Internal Medicine and Cardiology in 1993 from the Institute of Cardiology from Tomsk Scientific Center (Russia). Her career as an Internal Medicine and Cardiology specialist took her to Georgetown (Guyana), Zanzibar and Dar-es-Salaam (Tanzania). Since 2006, She has been working at Polokwane/Mankweng hospital complex (South Africa), Internal Medicine Department. She currently lectures as well at Limpopo University and trains junior staff, interns, and medical students. Her research interests include cardiology, pulmonology, and infectious diseases. She has published multiple papers and proposed several innovative methods in diagnosis and treatment of cardiac pathology, hematology, endocrinology, infectious diseases, tropical medicine.

Dr. Pradeep kumar srivastava  was Head of vector control & Entomology division of National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP), Government of India from 2014-2017. He has been Country’s nodal officer for elimination of Lymphatic Filariasis during 2004-2016. He has also headed the Planning and Coordination Division of NVBDCP, Delhi during 2005-2014 and has been working as Nodal officer for NRHM from NVBDCP during the same period. He has been In-Charge of Urban Malaria and National Filaria Control Programme in India along with Logistics & Administration during 1997-2004 in NVBDCP. He has served in different states as the Regional Entomologist during 1988-1997. He worked as Scientist at Department of Biochemistry, AIIMS, New Delhi (Feb 1988-Dec 1988) and Scientist at Malaria Research Centre now known as NIMR (1981-1988). He has worked as Temporary Adviser to WHO on many occasions in Member countries of SEARO and WHO Head quarter at Geneva during meetings and workshops. He has chaired and co-chaired scientific session on Filariasis in USA and France. He has been a part of Indian delegation on Conference of Parties (COPs) 2017 for DDT plan in vector control. Recently, he has worked with WHO for short term assignment during 2019 to frame state specific Malaria elimination Plan in Jharkhand. He has more than 50 scientific publications at his credit and has authored many guidelines, chapters in books. His most popular contribution is ‘Operational Manual for Integrated Vector Management in India’. He has been Recipient of Vestergaard Frandsen Award 2019 by National Academy of Vector Borne Diseases, India in 2019. He has been expert member in Scientific Advisory Committee of various Research Institutes. Currently he is Co-chair of Vector Control Working Group under Asia Pacific Malaria Elimination Network (APMEN).

Petya Stefanova Orozova, PhD, is a microbiologist specializing in fish pathology and aquatic animal health, based in Sofia, Bulgaria. She currently serves as an Associate Professor at the National Diagnostics and Research Veterinary Medical Institute (NDRVMI), where she is also the Head of the National Reference Laboratory for Fish, Mollusc and Crustacean Diseases and Head of the Department of Aquaculture and Fish and Bee Diseases. She holds a PhD in Microbiology from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, an MSc in Environmental Microbiology and Hydrobiology, and a BSc in Molecular Biology from Sofia University. She has scientific expertise in aquatic animal and bee diseases, fish pathology, microbiology, molecular diagnostics, antimicrobial resistance, probiotics, and vaccines. She has more than 20 years of experience in diagnostic microbiology and fish health research, leading seven research projects and participating in six national and international projects. She has received specialized training at leading European institutions and participated in the 31st Antarctic Expedition in 2023. She is a member of the European Association of Fish Pathologists.
