Madan Mohan Pradhan

Dr Madan Mohan Pradhan (MBBS, master’s in applied epidemiology) presently serves as Additional District Public Health Officer - VBD in Boudh district of Odisha in India. He was the former State Programme officer of the National Vector Borne Diseases Control Programme in Odisha state.He was instrumental for the drastic malaria reduction in the state and implementing malaria- DAMaN programme. He earned global recognition with invitation by the WHO and ICMR for his contribution in malaria reduction.​ He was also instrumental in establishing the post super cyclone-1999, ‘Odisha Multi Disease Surveillance System’ and his participation in Outbreak investigations and malaria programme evaluations is praiseworthy.​​ He has contributed to 26 research publications and recipient of the Dr S Pattanayk memorial award and Bayer Environmental Science Award. He was a member of the technical advisor committee in the Gates foundation’s malaria programme. He presented papers and VBD programme experiences in national and international conferences and forums. He is a reviewer in the public health journals and life member in reputed public health associations and organisations in India. He is well known for his commitment to sustainable health outcomes, community-driven approaches, involvement with civil society organisations and mentorship of future public health professionals.
 

Olisaeloka Ebeogu

Olisaeloka Ebeogu was born in 1983 in Owerri, Nigeria. He was raised in a middle-income family with both parents as academics. He studied medicine at Abia State University, Nigeria, where he graduated in 2007. He went on to postgraduate training in Internal Medicine and Neurology which he completed in 2021 and is a fellow of the West African College of Physicians. He worked as a Neurologist in Nigeria for two years before moving on to pursue an international fellowship in Neurology under the Medical Training Initiative of the Royal College of Physicians. Currently, he works at the Neurology department of the Leeds General Infirmary, United Kingdom. He is certified by the Education Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) having completed all the steps the United Stated Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) and intends to pursue a fellowship in Stroke/Vascular neurology in the United States.

Dr. Pradeep Kumar Srivastava was Head of Vector Control & Entomology division of National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP), Government of India. He has been Country’s nodal officer for elimination of Lymphatic Filariasis, headed the Planning and Coordination Division of NVBDCP, Delhi. He was In-Charge of Urban Malaria and National Filaria Control Programme in India. He served in different states as the Regional Entomologist and as Scientist in Department of Biochemistry, AIIMS, New Delhi and Malaria Research Centre now known as NIMR. He has worked as Temporary Adviser to WHO on many occasions in Member countries of SEARO and WHO Headquarter Geneva. He has chaired and co-chaired scientific sessions on Lymphatic Filariasis in USA and France. He has been a part of Indian delegation on Conference of Parties (COPs) 2017 for DDT reduction in vector control. He has framed state specific Malaria elimination Plan in Jharkhand state with WHO support in 2019. He has been Co-chair of Vector Control Working Group under Asia Pacific Malaria Elimination Network (APMEN). He has more than 50 scientific publications and has authored many guidelines including ‘Operational Manual for Integrated Vector Management in India’, and chapters in books. He has been conferred Vestergaard Frandsen Award 2019 by National Academy of Vector Borne Diseases (NAVBD), India. He has supported in Vector Control Need Assessment of India and Timor-Leste with WHO consultancy. Currently he is engaged as one of team members in drafting National strategic Plan for Malaria Elimination in India (2023-2027).
