Scrub typhus is widely considered a neglected tropical disease. If left untreated, this disease can lead to fatal complications, including death. This disease is transmitted by the bite of Leptotrombidium mites and caused by the bacterium Orientia tsutsugamushi. Very few cases of scrub typhus have been reported from North East India. This disease is associated with Multiple Organ Dysfunction Syndrome (MODS), hypotension, deranged hepatic function, cardiac problem, kidney failure, acute respiratory distress syndrome, and meningoencephalitis. But association of subserosal fibroid with scrub typhus is not reported till date. In this case report, the patient developed a subserosal fibroid along with grade 1 fatty liver. More research is required to understand the mechanism of this disease.
