Cesarean Section (CS) has been defined as delivery of a fetus through a surgical incision into the uterine wall after 28 weeks of gestation. Cesarean section has been seen and identified as a method of child delivery that is quicker, safer and more prestigious to the patient. A cross sectional study was conducted during period 2018/2/1 to 2018/3/1. This study was conducted in Al- Zahra Teaching Hospital in Al Najaf Al- Ashraf province. 177 simple was selected randomly. The age range was 14-44 year, most of them was in the age group 20-25 year. 74.6% of them were living in urban area, majority of these women were housewife's 98.9%. This study found that (24.9%) of women had primigravida, (1.7%) had previous infertility, (19.8%) had four or more previous births, (19.2%) had an abortion in previous gestations and finally (50.8%) had a previous cesarean delivery. There are highly significant (0.01) between age and (primigravida, previous births, previous cesarean, age group) and there are significant (0.05) between age and (abortion, cause of cesarean). There are highly significant (0.01) between geographical area and previous cesarean, there are significant (0.05) between geographical area and primigravida. There are significant (0.05) between occupation and (increase amniotic fluid, decrease amniotic fluid and wrong position). There are highly significant (0.01) between primigravida and (age, previous births, previous abortion, previous cesarean, age group) and there are significant (0.05) between primigravida and geographical area. There are highly significant (0.01) between previous infertility and cause of cesarean. There are highly significant (0.01) between previous births and (age, primigravida, previous abortion, previous cesarean, age group) and there are significant (0.05) between previous births and eclampsia.
