Nephrology is a speciality of adult internal medicine and pediatric medicine that concerns with the study of kidneys, especially normal kidney function (renal physiology) and kidney disease (renal pathophysiology). It also studies about the preservation of kidney health and the treatment of kidney disease, from diet and medication to renal replacement therapy which is of two types Dialysis and kidney transplantation. The metabolical system which includes kidneys as its main organ is excretory system.
