Born at Sialkot Pakistan in 4th November 1947, Professor Dr. Muhammad Akram Muneer: having qualifications of BSc (AH) & BVSc (Punjab), M.Sc (Hons, UAF), MSc (Veterinary Virology, Tuskegee University USA), PhD (Veterinary Microbiology, University of Minnesota USA) and Post-doctorate from University of Minnesota; has over 47 year experience as professor in Veterinary Microbiology, Dean Faculty of Veterinary Sciences and Acting Vice Chancellor UVAS, National Director, Ministry of Livestock GOP National program on control and prevention of Avian Influenza, National Consultant FAO/UN for SAARC countries in highly pathogenic emerging diseases, etc. He has published over 100 research papers in international and national research journals. He has supervised over 24 PhD candidates and 52 Mphil/MSc scholars in the field of Microbiology. He has been recognized as HEC best university teacher, approved PhD supervisor and awarded izaz-e-Kamal by the president of Pakistan. He has contributed on the control of viral diseases in poultry in Pakistan and also worked as member national disease control of Pakistan Poultry Association. Dr. Muneer has presented his work in over 100 science moots in Pakistan, USA, Canada and India. I have more than 190 scientific publications, 3 monographs, textbook "Virology" (2012), 10 patents, 4 innovations. I am currently working as the Lugansk State Medical University, Rubezhnoye, Ukraine , is the supervisor of the nine research programs in virology and biochemistry.

Dr Tatjana Plješa received her medical education (MD), specialization (Specialist in Microbiology and parasitology) and PhD studies (Clinical and Experimental Bacteriology) at the Medical Faculty, University of Belgrade, Serbia. Dr Plješa is the author of many publications in the field of microbiology and immunology. Dr Plješa has a rich experience in the production and quality control of viral vaccines, bacterial vaccines and diagnostic devices. She was Production Director in the Institute of Virology, Vaccines and Sera Torlak. She worked in bacterial vaccine production area as Team leader in establishing single-use WAVE technology in the production of pertussis vaccine, diphtheria toxoid and tetanus toxoid projects. Prior to this, Dr Plješa was the Head of Vaccine Production Department, where she managed the production of pertussis vaccine. She was involved in the study of comparing clinical isolates and vaccine strains of Bordetella pertussis by serotyping and genotyping, as a part of the project of surveillance of B. pertussis antigenic divergence and pertussis re-emergence in countries with high vaccination coverage. Dr Plješa participated in the projects of the World Health Organization and the Institute Torlak in the area of vaccines production and control. She published a lot of scientific papers and was present at numerous national and international conferences. She has 15 years of experience in microbiology and biotechnology, in research, quality control, industrial and technology development. Also, she is involved in environmental and food microbiology studies in Public Health Institute of Belgrade, Serbia.
