Breast Feeding and its Importance

Abstract

Breast feeding is one of the gifts for mother to feed her child which is ideal meals and which has no substitute for breast milk. Breast milk is a natural readymade meal that’s most appropriate for neonates. It is secure, smooth and contains antibodies which assist protect in opposition to many common childhood illnesses. Breast milk affords all of the energy and vitamins that the infant wishes for the primary months of existence, and it maintains to offer as much as half or extra of a child’s nutritional needs at some point of the second half of the first year. Breastfeeding is one of the most effective methods to ensure infant health and survival. The mother’s breast starts off evolved to put together for lactation with the onset of puberty. As a woman matures, there may be similarly mammary gland development giving a feature structure to the breast. During pregnancy, the glandular cells of breast changes into real secreting cells. The mother’s breast begins to put together for lactation with the onset of puberty. The two reflexes prolactin and oxytocin helps in production and preservation of breast milk to feed the infant. Training of mother for breast feeding is very important like hygiene, diet, apparel and self-belief to feed her toddler, so that successful breast feeding can be initiated. Position of mother and infant all through breast feeding may be very important, so that attachment (LATCH) can be established. Breast feeding has its personal advantages for baby in addition to the mother.
